Female Otter handing over a crab to It's cub, taken on Mull last week. Lighting conditions were a bit on the bright side (midday) and that out of focus rock in the foreground dose not help, but I like it.

Even with the issues you mention, its still a nice habit shot. Also it looks like a bit of a nippy situation.

I certainly wouldn't worry about the out of focus foreground John and as for the harsh lighting there was nothing you could do about that. As it is the lighting hasn't worked out that bad for you as both otters have their heads raised into the light so no important detail lost in any shadow. I would be really pleased with this especially as I know just how hard it is to get anywhere near a position to get an image. I'd love this to be one of mine! Well done.

Excellent shot John, I agree awith you about the rock, but having it there is better than not getting the picture. Great interaction.

Looked great on the back of the camera - even nicer on screen. Was nice to meet you briefly. You may be interested to know that these guts were much more elusive in the following week. We only had 2 distant sightings and nobody else seemed to be doing any better!
