Focusing Rails

I am trying to get my hands on a good set of focusing rails for my upcoming project in Costa Rica starting in July. Unfortunately, Really Right Stuff won't be able to get me one of theirs in time so now I am trying to figure out an alternative. Anyone have any suggestions? I have seen mixed reviews for both the kirk and the adorama on photo.net but would love some more feedback here.

Thanks!

Drew

Hi Drew,

I use the Kirk version and I love it! Extremely good quality! IMHO!

You could also consider the Kirk long rail plate. If weight is a factor, I think it's significantly lighter than a focusing rail...not as precise though.

Drew - The kirk f-rail does the trick. It's solid! I have no experience with RRS rails - but if you need a rail and Kirk has one in stock, grab it - you won't be disappointed.

I'm glad to hear it. Sounds like Kirk will be getting an order from me soon. Thanks everybody!
