The cubs have now settled down a bit and have reduced their foraging in the daytime. I think everything is a bit new at first and they are just so eager to get out of the sett. They have been out for several weeks now and I have recently noticed a change in their behaviour, coming out later and later, sometimes in the company of a young adult. I've yet to get the generations framed together, but this is my next aim.
This little chap is always the first to arrive and (for once!) timed it perfectly for the evening light. This is the shot I have had in my head since February when I first started the planning for badgers.

Nice Eliott, But have you try to make a small noise....the badger would look at you and you would have eye contact. It would be better in my opinion.
Best wishes and good luck with your badger

Beautiful light, but I have to agree slightly with Frederic - the pose isn't particularly flattering. Having said that, I'd be well happy with this, as my local badgers never emerge until well after sunset :(
Hi Elliot, nice capture, worth waiting for. Agree with Eric about the OOF stem top right & along the trunk. Also it looks a tad too saturated, perhaps it's me
Any more?

Cheers for the feedback guys. RE: Pose and eye contact. I have tried noises, quite a lot of noise in fact. But the young badgers are so used to me that, apart from getting up and walking around, they rarely bat an eyelid! I usually have to wait for one of the annoying squirrels to leap in a tree for the fella to look up.
