Hi All,
I've been stumbling along as event coordinator for several months now and I've had a great time doing so. Unfortunately I need to step down, and let someone else take over.
If I can help it, I don't want to leave the forum without an event coordinator. So who wants to take over? I will be available to the next guy to answer questions, and help you get all the technical stuff worked out.
If you are interested, please contact Rick and Erik. They'll explain the expectations of the job and get you the necessary mod privileges.
I sent our illustrious moderators a long email explaining my reasons. The short version is, I learn a lot from NPN, I have made some friends here, and I think it's the best critique forum on the net. Well, the downside of all that learning is that I get too much rattling around in my head when I'm out shooting, and I now need to spend some time organizing my thoughts and for lack of a better term, working in a vacuum; I need less outside influence for a while.
This isn't a decision I made overnight. I've been wrestling with it for a few months. I'll still be lurking, and I'll likely show up for some of the group events. I might even throw out a post once in a while. But I mainly need to kind of crawl inside myself for a while so I can better develop my own style. I don't know how long this process will take. Could be a year or so, I can't really say.
Well folks,
If nobody steps in the next couple of days, I'll delete the thread and go with informal outings. I hope we can get a few together within the next few months.
