Mating Kingfishers Part II
Hi Guys,

Not much time today to go out as i have a lot of work to do so i'd thought i would post another one of the mating Kingfishers...
Quite liked the way the female shows her anger (or twisted pleasure..  ) towards the male in this one..

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Hi Jeroen,

Stunning, simply stunning image! You've got a decent set of KF images for the series! Awesome stuff!

Michael Sayles' recent post "Harsh but fair" was timely and well justified I think. However, this is a series of truly top class photos that are a joy to see and I can find no fault at all.

Well, may be more eye contact from the male? I'll be asking for the moon on a stick next!

Lovely. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Things dont always happen at the right angle as here but i think you have gotten away with it as it works-tells the story and has good interaction between the birds-An image any of us would be proud of-not as good as the others maybe but still a cut above others i have seen

I've said it all before Jeroen :toast:

If I really had to find a fault then perhaps a tiny bit tight on the males left wing tip - but I'd settle for a bunch of King shots of my own with the same nit any day of the week

Since the 'harsh but fair' thread I don't know if I should try harder to find some faults with this but to be perfectly honest I am not going to criticise an image which I would dearly love to have taken.

Hi Jeroen,

Agree with Andy A that it is a little tight on the left, but it is such an outstanding image, it does not detract.

Nice work

Her expression seems more like surprise than anything else! Absolutely fantastic image.

A pretty remarkable set of images Jeroen. It hardly seems worth anybody else bothering with them, any more. You seem to have got them all.
I'd like to say it needs something adjusting, but i would be lying if I did.
