Can a bird get rattled ?+ Example
Blackbird
I know we should,nt compare birds to the way we act but I am sure this Blackbird is trying to say some thing !!
As one of my pools dries up it gets clogged with blanket weed. Some of the antics are quite funny to see.
Usual set up.

Hi John,

Love this behavioural image! IMHO this is one of the best BB shots I've seen in a long time!

Spot-on exposure and repro John :toast:

I'd be crying for a lower PoV at your pool though as you have some great action going on there

Lovely shot. A minor nit, and one that's probably just me, is that I'm not too keen on the appearance of the pool, i feel the mud in the background doesn't look quite "natural", if you get what I mean? I much prefer your woodland pool shots with green foliage in the background and leaves in the pool.

Cheers,

Dan.

Thanks again.
I can't do much about the pool Daniel as they are made by massive lorries in a sand quarry. They are changing all the time so there's no point in tarting them up. I suppose being man made they're artificial anyway. Once they have finished I can get a permanent pool in again. Its the fact that I can get different species compared to the forest pools.

I think you may know my views on LPOV  :frown: Its the reflections I don't like.
The blackbird was quite near so it accentuates the angle. Birds on the far side of the puddle are even too low for my liking.
I'll post an example in a minute if I can find it ! To me the reflection takes over and dictates my cropping options too much.
Cheers

Hi John,

Yep he looks cheesed off!! If it does actually stopping raining for a few days you will just have to start lugging around jerry cans of water to keep the birds happy

I find it amazing how birds can change their facial expressions and this one is a cracker!

Great expression on his face - well hacked off I'd say.
