Whilst the Cubs have become difficult to shoot they are still coming out in daylight (just) I have moved my set up back and now sit in a bush accompanied by mozzies and red ants, The difficult thing when talking on a project like foxes of which there are a million shots of is trying to get something different and that the agencies will accept so it keeps the brain ticking over, I moved the log on the floor to an angle hoping to get the cub to climb up on it for the puppy food smeared along the top edge but they are big enough now to stand up for it-works for me,A couple of comments on my last fox image said that it was light-well they do seem to be here,2 out of 3 cubs are very pale and were last year

Overall, I think it is well-conceived and a cracking portrait. The pose of the fox cub is really endearing, especially with the paw on the log. The only thing that detracts for me is the green haze on the right. RE: light colour of foxes - If you use Lightroom, you can darken just the oranges and reds using the HSL luminance control. It can give the fox cubs just a bit more colour to their fur.

I agree about the green haze-its a bush in front of me, I did think of cropping it out but that would clip the tail, I am not sure i want to colour the fox as thats the colour it is and i guess it shows that like the squirrels here they are diverse in colour
Interesting about the colour variation... A lovely pose from your subject, only nit really is the OOF green on the right, an image well worth the discomfort of mozzies and Red Ants....
Yes - all been said. Good agency image i would imagine.
I reckon a tad of darkening on the fox face could help .

It's another brilliant addition to a cracking series Dave
The OoF green RHS doesn't bother me at all really, but I know what Elliott means - it looks a bit washed out, not just the little chap but the BG and FG greens too
another nice additional to your series Dave. This cub does look paler than those I've seen, interesting how they vary. This image shows the cub off nicely, the OOF bush will bother some but doesn't detract much for me.

The second post is definitely an improvement, a bit of contrast has made the image pop. It's a great pose, and the only nit for me is, as has been said before, the distracting foliage on the right.
Of the two, I prefer the repost, though that's not to say the first version was bad! The pose here is just fantastic! I don't find the OOF green foliage on the right to be too much of a problem - a bit of selective work with contrast and colour balance might disguise it a bit if you felt the need.

You definately reep what you sow, and this shot continues this highest quality series

Very nice indeed. Repost has given the boost it needed. OoF foliage is annoying but not a disaster. A very nice series, thanks for sharing

Probably the best yet for me.
A very very nice image
