Hi Guy,

A bonus to have some nesting material. Could have a little more space to the left and bottom left for it to "look" into. Other than that I really like it. Was this taken at Bempton? As I will be up there for a couple days between the 3-8th of July.

Regards

Rob

Hello Rob.

Thanks for the comment.

Yes taken at Bempton. You will need a good windy day to make the most of it. Or you will just be shooting down on to of the birds. I would also chose the afternoon over the morning for the best light.

Hope the weathers good to you and happy shooting. :wavey:

Nice details and colour. Aren't these superb creatures? I would prefer a little more room, but that's just personal. The colour of the water is nice too.

Cropped a little too tight for me but apart from that minor niggle a very nice capture.

Fine shot Guy,
With those matching angles on the wingtips and the tail, I can almost see the air rushing past. excellent exposure as well and the bg colour really shows the subject up well. i really like that.

Lovely shot Guy, agree about the crop but that's a very minor nit. I was there for a day last week and the wind was blowing in off the land which is why I assume the birds were not flying as high as they might? I found I was having to shoot downwards and only had the occasional bird fly at more or less eye level. I would have loved to come away with an image like yours but alas it wasn't to be. Still it was a great day out and an awesome spectacle to see - I shall be making the trip back there next week for another go

Hi Guy,

Great flight shot! I like the added bomus of the nesting material!

Is this full frame Guy? If not I personally would like to see a bit more 'empty' space to the left and bottom of the frame (just my own preference). Other than that a really fine flight shot and, as mentioned before, with the added interest of the nest material.
I love these birds but have never had the opportunity to photograph them as yet. Hopefully to be rectified at the end of the month.
