With graduations, etc., I've been away from the forum for a couple weeks. Looks like some very nice work being posted.

This past weekend my wife and I went to Ashland for a bit of Shakespeare, and then spent one night in Bandon on the coast. I had heard good things about Bandon, and although our time was short I wanted to have a peak. I would love to have shot the rock formations with a nice sunset behind, but the weather didn't cooperate so I concentrated on the flowers.

Well, that is a good reflection of our "gloomy gus" weather this year. Thanks goodness for the lovely array of flowers in there, John. Gotta hand it to the rain for making all the flora so very lush for us. Nice shot. I'd just favor losing almost all of that sky, though. Well... just because it's so... so... DARN GRAY! Guess you can tell I'm ready for a little break in the clouds.

That sure is a beautiful stretch of coastline and knowing when the flowers bloom is very helpful so thanks for posting this. Sorry you didn't get the weather you were looking for. It's been a tough spring all over. The gorge is the place to be for photography these days. Welcome back.

The overcast conditions aren't making things easy on many of us, but still a nice grouping of flowers here, John, and a very nice scene.

John,

I really like this colorful shot. I can only imagine how nice it would look with sunset colors as well.

I was down in Bandon in late May. But I don't think I saw this same spot with the wildflowers. Was this at the south or north end of Bandon?

Thanks for posting.
