Horned grebe
I caught this one this Spring when the river was up. I thought I saw one today. The river is coming back up so that may be why. I have been busy moving things to high ground again. Maybe this weekend I can catch some time to shoot. Olympus E510 70-300 600mm eq f7.1 1/320 ISO 100

He's a funny looking little guy. Has a whimsical quality to him. Nice capture. Stay dry!

What a beautiful bird. I've not seen these here in Minnesota. It looks tack sharp and great catch-light. If the resolution will bear it, a slightly tighter crop would really rock.

Ok I cropped down some, it works on my screen. We don't get these guys much and you get all the loons.

That looks great on my screen too. As much as I love our loons I'd sure like to encounter one of these beauties once in a while.
