Hi everyone
I am actually blessed at the moment with my badger. Yesterday I went to see them (After having dipping for the last three times) and they came quite late....
For several time now I have seen wood mouse coming out of the tree. Usually coming out grapping a peanut and shooting back in... Yesterday for the first time I had a wood mousse who decided to pose for a while and suddenly one of the female badger came out of the set. It was quite funny to have both actors outside at the same time. I am standing about 3 metre from the tree and none of them seems to be bothered by my presence. The problem I have now is that it is starting to be difficult to get the attention of the females...I really have to make a big noise to make them pay attention... (I may have to use those hand grenades very soon!)
I have use the 1dmk3, 70-200 f2.8 (5.6)( At 105 mm) 1600iso, neat image.
Best wishes everyone
Frederic

It's good to see you resisted the temptation to have the mouse too big in the frame Nice image
Brilliant!! I often see mice when I'm waiting outside my local badger sett, but I've yet to get a shot of them both (mouse and badger) together, so well done sir for this! I think if I was printing this I'd crop a bit off the top and a bit off the left.
Love it - like Michael I have often seen Wood & Yellow-necked Mice sharing the Badger sett and before the Badgers emerge watching the mice gather a few of the peanuts but never both in the frame at once!
Awesome shot of a Wood Mouse, nice Badger too! Lovely shot!

Looks like the badger is crawling through a lava flow. So much texture in that setting. Had to look for the mouse, but very cool to have a second character in the scene. Looks a little soft, but image that its the jpeg compression - would be a big file with all that detail. Would consider a crop - losing some off the top-left. Every shot from this sett will be original! RE: Grabbing their attention - I tried snapping a small twig and it worked a treat. Just have a pile next to your seat. I guess whatever we try, they will soon get used to it. Grenades on standby!

Yes I did not want to have the mouse too big in the frame as I wanted to be able to see the tree
