Went to photograph some signets and this Sparrow came and sat right next to me for what seemed liked ages. Never got anything decent of the swans but thought was okay with the contrast of the sparrow sitting on the black chain and green background..
Cheers for the responses guys, the thing I love about this forum is it makes you think about your shots others thoughts on your shots make so much sense you wonder "why did'nt I see that"
As for my PP skills I have to admit I'm a very basic novice but as for dust spots I suppose theres no excuse, hand slapped..
Alan I think he had indigestion as he'd just pigged out on a choc muffin, all my other shots had his beak and face covered in huge crumbs which almost covered his whole beak..
Landscape would improve it for me, but apart from that I love the idea. Sparrows are urban and that chain is a great prop. I've always had a soft spot for these fellows as well. Eric

All been said. Great idea. The perch is an interesting element. Shame the tail is clipped. If a subject is that confiding, it is worth pressing your advantage and just shuffling around to get a better angle. Yep, it needs cleaning. Looks like it is concentrating on... "I will not be sick"

I like the lead in line of the chain fence. And the DoF. Agree with Tim re dust spots and bit of a shame the tail is clipped.

Maybe a landscape orientation would have suited better {just my preference}, but a nice shot as it is!!
