Whitethroat
had a great day out this morning with Eric, I found my first whitethroat, and managed to get a pic so i thought i would share, abeit the background is a bit busy, but i am really pleased with how detailed the bird came out.

enjoy C&C welcome.

Hi Mark,

BG does not bother me to much as I don't think it is that intrusive. A nice shot of a lovely little bird showing it's environment well.

Regards

Good one. In my opinion needs a bit more "guts" Lower the gamma and see what it looks like. Bit more USharp mask on the head area too might help a bit
Nice shot though.
Cheers

Well done Mark!!

Agree with John...........a touch more oomph would polish it off nicely :toast: :toast:

Frustrating little buggers, but you have managed a nice clean view!!

Good comments from John. But apart from those nits, a shot with good details!

You picked a good one out there Mark, mine are all rubbish. The bg and surroundings set it off quite nicely without being too intrusive.

Well done for getting it in frame. Yep the BG is busy, but these 'clear BG' situations rarely present themselves. I would have a look at your focus points. The wing and rose stem seem to be sharp, but not the eye. Wherever possible move the focus point to the head.
