"Erwins View"
I hiked up the Erwins View Trail this week to take some shots of Linville Falls from the Overlook. The sky was sunny when I left home in Beech Mountain, NC but clouded up as I arrived at the falls. I learned several things that day, one of which was to get myself a carbon fiber tripod.

Canon 5D
Canon 24-105 @ 24mm
Manfrotto tripod
Circ. Polarizer

Wow the vegetation is very thick. I live about 30 miles away in Morganton and it looks like the rain has been staying up there! You must be hauling around an aluminum hoss tripod like me

Yes, Leann, it's aluminum and I loved it until that day. The first thing I did after that hike was order the new carbon fiber tripod and start a diet in order to lose 10 lbs.
