Kingfisher
Hello friends,
this is from last winter. A friend led me to a place where he was feeding kingfishers. Very close to the feeding place he build up a hide. So we waited about half an hour than this beautiful little girl appeared. She cought some fish and we could not stop shooting. Finally we even opened the curtain of the hide window. She did not bother at all about the two big glasses.

Canon 20D+EF100-400+Tripod RSE and PSCS.
C and C always welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Nice shot Bertl , a little large in the frame for my tastes and maybe a tad over sharp , lovely BG though.

Andy...

Nice colours and sharpness. A bit odd angle as if looking down at the bird ?

beautiful colours and sharpness, but for me a little too tight in the frame - maybe you can add some canvas as the background is tidy?

cheers

A beautifully detailed image, with scintillating colouring. The tighter the better as far as I'm concerned, it's the subject that counts IMHO.

Lovely detailed shot Berti. :toast:
I dont mind the size but for me its missing a highlight. If this were available it would be an even better image.

Cracking feather detail, and clearly an awesome experience.

Lovely shot with loads of detail!
The twig is a tad "hot" but that's nitpicking a wonderful Kingfisher shot.

Excellent shot. Yep, big in the frame, but what amazing detail in the feathers! Like that cool brown BG and the contrast with the white perch. :toast:
