Linnet
One from this morning.

A prickly experience for me, as they were nesting in a gorse bush, but finally managed a few frames {between gusts of wind}.

Just the shadow/underside of a large tree Dave.

Wish the little blighter was doing something, but better than a poke in the eye, and worth a few gorse spikes in the back-side

cheers

Hi Alan,

OUCH! , But well worth it  . Think the Linnet stands out very well from the shadow BG. Also a nice perch, comp and colours look good, I have these in my garden but they are jumpy little blighters

Regards

A super Linnet portrait Alan and the BG just adds that bit of extra "oomph" - lovely job :toast:

Linnet on Gorse now seems to be parr for the course. Years ago it was Hawthorn.
My how times change. After that ramble Alan I have to say it works very well.

Hi Alan
I'm amazed we don't see more of these although I've never managed a decent shot myself, I like this one the dark background works very well. :toast:

Nice colourful portrait that really pops out. Not overly keen on the dark BG, but each to their own.
