I am happy to say that I am finally meeting some people from here. I met Tom Biggs and Harold Ross on the Bald early Saturday morning. I also ran into Richard down at the bottom later in the morning. I will attempt to post my first image here if I can figure it out and will try a landscape (to keep Richard happy) since they are a rather new adventure to me. Let me know your thoughts.

Randy,

Enjoyed meeting and talking to you Saturday! I had a blast meeting the rest of your Carolina crew also. Very nice people...

It's interesting that you took this shot. I never actually saw you photographing at this point on the mountain but after we spoke you headed on over to the other side of the round bald. Upon viewing your topic, I realized that like minds see the same opportunities.

I really can appreciate your shot much more with the sun included. I love how warm light highlights the rocks. Very Nice....

As you can see, the cloud bank headed towards the sun in your shot ...basically covered the Sun by the time I arrived at this location.

Sooo... with this in mind here is what I came away with.

Enjoyed meeting you guys,

Harold

The two images have very different moods and feel to them. Randy's is dramatic while Harold's feels peaceful to me. Both are very nice, guys.

I like both photos to. Same, but different. Not sure which I like better. I agree with what Richard said above.
