I saw a toddler that was walking with his parents when I was up there yesterday, but I didn't see any babies
Seriously all I know is that the road is open all the way to the top and the summit lake is still frozen over, no flowers yet and I don't suspect there is going to be any time soon, if at all this year, there is still plenty o' snow up there

I’ve been up there a couple of times. The upper parts from Summit Lake to summit still have a lot of snow, and the grass has not greened up yet.
If you are looking for flowers, second week of July should be best. However, you will find plenty of wildlife up there right now.
Didn't make it to the top when I went up yesterday; had a bit of a cold or something and wound up with the early signs of altitude sickness (*that* was a first...), so I had to come back down after Summit Lake.
Didn't see any goats or sheep on the trip, but lots of Marmots (no little ones...). Alpine flowers aren't really starting yet. Mt. Goliath parking lot is open - finally - this year. Alpine Buttercup and a few Moss Campion were peeking out in the gardens near the nature center there, but nothing higher up; as René says, the grass hasn't even greened up yet.
Still a few deep and steep patches of snow on the Pessman Trail - could be difficult early in the AM until it softens up. Summit Lake is just beginning to open up; the bottom of the lake and all of the alpine bog waters are thawed, but the main part of the lake is still largely frozen.
Thanks everyone for the information. I guess I should have been more specific.....I went in late June last year and the mountain goats had just had their kids. I was wondering if the does have been bringing their babies to the summit yet?
