Flash Lit Clovers
Canon 1D Mark III
Canon 85mm f/1.2 with a Kenko Extension Tube
Canon 580EX II Flash on a cord with a Gary Fong Diffuser
Tripod/Remote Release
1/300 sec @ f/11 ISO 200

I took this at Mora Camp Ground in Olympic National Park on the coast last Saturday. I was poking around our campsite for something to occupy myself as we waited for sunset and found these splendid large clovers (2.5 inches across) growing out of a stump - conveniently at eye level! I had the flash head below and to the left. If I were to do this again I would block the flash a bit for the closest clovers but overall I am happy with the final effect!!

Pretty groovy eh?!

Google "Gary Fong" to find out about his diffusers.

I like this, Rick. Has a deep forest feel but with sunshine streaming through, which I would assume was your intent. Nice comp with the large leaves at bottom and the interwoven stems twisting upward.
Too bad the extreme FG isn't sharp.

A lot is out of focus and really is not doing much for me.
