I was given a tip off for an area in the Swiss Jura for Marmots but its worked out to be a great place for Chamois-Not too spooky and they have young, I nearly tripped over this one and i dont know who was more suprised-it trotted a short distance and looked around before moving off-This was a grab shot handheld so suprised it came out
I wish my grab shots were as good David, I think this is one of your best images of these. Perfect environment and I really like the look back pose, very envious.
Great shot of this species. The dof is exactly right with just the right amount of detail in the background.
Are the leaves in the background an orchid they make some sort of spirit from ??
I seem to remember these from France.
Cheers
John
Forgot to mention. I'll never forget the limestone flora of the Jura.
Superb shot Dave, looking at his expression you can almost read what he's saying..Do'nt want to get booted off forum if I wrote what I think he's thinking..

What a great expression!
Amazing hand holding technique you've got there - 1/80th at 700mm...I need about five pints before my hands are that steady!!!
