Late afternoon at Cossatot Falls
Sunday afternoon Gale Rainwater and I took a trip to the Cossatot River. Here is a shot of my all time favorite rapid in Arkansas, "the Washing Machine."

Gale has some really nice panoramos of this same area that show more of the area, that I bet he will share with us.

Nice image, Tom. I like how the rocks frame the washing machine. Love the light on the pool in the distance. Good job!

Hey Tom, I like this shot. I especially like the warm tones in the fg rocks. Good shootin' partner!

Really nice, Tom - I love the rocks and the water that flows through them.

Hi Tom this one turned out really nice!!
Nice job on the white balance and comp. I didn't shoot any verticals.

I'd say you and Gale had a great day. You caught the river at a good level. Nice composition and color, Tom.

Yes, the golden light from the late afternoon sky is a nice touch, and something I always enjoy about Cossatot is the unique nature of the rock there, which you've captured well in the foreground boulders.
