Very different but therefor very nice!

I took a very similar shot a couple of mornings back, although your image is a lot better than mine, mainly because of the great BG, I love the colour tones going on in the shot.
Comfortably positioned bird, within the frame, and a great setting

Hi Phil
I'm surrounded by Marsh Harriers here in the Broads, so I appreciate just how fleeting a chance you get with them. You've done really well to capture such a fine image.
I'm not 100% sure about this one Phil. Lovely composition, the bird sits well in the frame but for some reson or other the depth of the silhouette seems too black to me. (does that make sense?). I know it sounds daft but it is so black it is almost like a cut out. Perhaps the more I see it the more it will grow on me.
Robert.
Thanks Robert, you have put your finger on what was niggling me... I think I know how I will process this finally.... A little like Michaels thread about critique, I occasionally think that if people know who you are they are reluctant to offer an honest opinion....
Again many thanks.

The problem I have with shots like this is it's not an easily recognisable silhouette like say a Cheetah on a termite mound in Africa. A nice image never the less.

Hi,
One from a while back, I had marked it for processing but left it until I was certain how I wanted to treat it... of course I then forgot about it
Still only managing fleeting visits, trying to get myself sorted plus a couple of work related things to get done...
All the best & speak soon.
