First, I'm making NO apologies for this photo. This list has been a little quiet, so I'm using the space [although, maybe not a great use of the space! ;) ]
I try to carry my camera with me most everywhere I go because I never know what I'll see/find. So, yesterday, I was sitting in my car, waiting for my teenage son to primp for his girlfriend. I looked on the windshield and saw one of those tiny, red mites walking around, and sorta grinned. Then, I pulled out my camera and just started going wild!
At first, the mite was too low on the windshield, and all I could do was jam the camera between the windshield and dashboard, set the focus on manual and pray. A few minutes later, the mite crawled higher on the windshield and I was able to bend down and decently focus. Finally, the spots in the photo are from my dirty windshield, not the lens...
So, I had some fun with my camera taking a photo that I never would have anticipated! ;)
Maybe we should have a summer contest - bug splat photos!

Not a bad idea, Tim! Next time I go down to Ohio to see my son, maybe I'll get a few shots of a big splat on my windshield...then you can all guess what type of bug it was!
Tim, I like it as I try to do the same thing carrying my camera around and most of the time the pix aren't worth anything to anyone but me. IT'S FUN. By the way: What's the last thing to go thru a bug's mind when he hits your windshield? His A**. I think it's funny and I hope no-one is offended. BP

I must admit the background is really nice. You're right, this forum has been kind of quiet. Maybe I'll find something to post.

Bruce...too funny!!
Tim...can you zoom in on some of the smaller spots? I want to see what else you gathered in your windshield.
