Well I got up to Roan Mtn Monday evening/night and it was so beautiful all the rhodies. I think the flaming Azaleas were my favorite. Almost made it up to Jane's Bald, but with carrying camera gear, my lungs decided the base of it was far enough. Got some nice sunset images from Round Bald. All in all a great fun trip. Alice, Leann and I are going Sunday for sunrise. Lots of buds still and thats a beautiful place even without the flowers. But there will be some left. Such a beautiful place! We stayed to enjoy the beautiful big moon over the mountains.

Cindy,

I really like the feel of this. The cool light, dark tones, and the full moon all lend itself to a dusky feel. Very nice.

Alice? Leann? Who are these people you speak of?

LOL-we're the weekend after "slackers". It's all part of our strategy
Nice colors Miss Nowlin!

thanks for the nice comments. Its funny, the moon seemed so much bigger in person than it shows here. LOL It also amazed me how many people were still there at 9:45pm or just arriving to hike up in the dark. I also liked it because up top, you feel like you are on top of the world and can see forever. It is a very peaceful place.

Bring on sunrise now!

Lovely shot Cindy. I love the atmosphere this image has. I knew I should have stayed another day up there. Glad you captured the moment so I can see what I missed. Way to go!
