Still haven't returned to the Kingfishers as they are still on their eggs and i do not want to disturb them whilst nesting.
So...here's a Purple Heron i shot during a Purple Heron workshop i hosted yesterday.

All looks fine on my screen. Cracking flight shot of a beautiful looking bird. BG is maybe a little busy but in no way detracts from the overall image. Wish it were mine!
Looks too bright in the head and ..........................
Very nice pose though.

Looks fine from where I'm sitting Jeroen
Though I think f10 has done the BG no favours it's a cracking shot of a superb bird - if I come over later you've got to get me on these if they are still around
I quite like the bg.................beats a featureless sky!!

I have mentioned previously my liking for theses flight shots. So difficult to get all the factors right in my case. The head and neck looks over exposed on my laptop too. Could this be my calibration? I have used a Spider 3 pro in order to adjust.
Screen calibrations must impact on viewed results to a large degree.
