Quick shot of last night sunset.... missed getting the sun splitting the mountains by less than 5 minutes, oh well, fun snapshot anyway! Taken at Castle Rock, CO last night, 6-19-2008.

Tim,
Nice colors. There is a bit that is posterized in the upper left though. Not sure what happened there.
We got some surprise heavy thunderstorms at my place at sundown. Strange that its so clear at your place only 35 miles north.

I see what you are referring to, but not convinced its posterized. Looking at raw file appears to be cloudless area, shows in a number of images I took, and looks about the same on the raw as it does on the jpg.
In any event, more a snapshot than serious image, was great sunset and I am guessing a number of folks here shot it! Bummed I missed the sun above the horizon though, and literally just minutes as I sped to the location for shot!

On my side of town (north) the colors and light were astounding, I was wishing I had a camera -- but instead I was coming out of a movie
Nice snapshot, by the way

This sunset was spectacular here in Divide. Unfortunately I was driving from from a baseball practice with no camera. Glad you got it!
