Took a trip down to a local Common to watch the gypsies throw their chemical toilet waste all over it. No! I mean to watch the local Barn Owls, and watch the others, when the much more pleasent owl's were not about.
Tonight I saw the pair out - first time since Apr 27th.
I arrived around 18:15 and first appearance, for me, was 18:39
The Gypsies actually did me a favour as they caused me to move my observation point.
I like this.
There have been millions of flying barnies done lately butthis has a different "feel" about it. Was it Norfolk !!
PS were the gyps itinerant persons as the EU would put it. ??
Cheers

Lovely sharp image of a bird I rarely see, the BG is really sumptuous and the movement in the wings in conjunction with the facial sharpness just sums up the rock-steady but easy flight style of this bird - nice one
This is a lovely shot. They are fabulous birds but so difficult to get right as inevitably we see them when the light is poor. I like the detail on the face.
I have one locally and it appears to be nesting - just fingers crossed now!
