Eagle in snow
I know this is not a current photo, but everything I have taken lately is dealing with the flood. I took this back in Feb. on the third day I had the camera. I hope that now I would have done better but I like the shot. I think it is the shot more than the memory of the day. It was a great day in the woods lots of eagles and no people. I have tried several crops and still like this almost original view, but thought I would get another opinion. I wish I had caught more DOF and had the eagle sharper but this is it. I basically like it. I like the inclusion of the woodsy environment, but I'd be inclined to tighten this up, just so the eagle is a bit more prominent in the frame. I wouldn't alter things drastically because I very much like the feel of the eagle perched in the midst of the deep, snowy woods...perhaps just a modest crop from all dimensions.

I'm inclined to agree with Kerry here regarding a crop from all sides. The Eagle does need to be more prominent in the overall scene. Nice find, Kendall!
