Decided to branch out from 35mm and take a look at large format photography. Any recommendations for a film lab in the midwest that handles 4x5 E6?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt...not sure where you live specifically, but I send my 4x5 film (E-6 and C-41) to lighthouse imaging in Mishawaka Indiana. UPS ground takes about 2 days from central MN, so pretty reasonable. I was recommended to them by Danny Burk, who I trust. I haven't been disappointed with their processing thus far (a couple hundred sheets in). In the past I used Photocraft in Colorado. Photocraft only works with E-6 film. I had good luck with them personally, and I switched only because I needed a lab that could process my negs as well. Let me know if you have mores specific questions.

If you are located in Dayton try Graphics Terminal 136 N Saint Clair St Dayton, OH 45402 (937) 222-9400.

I have used them for years to process my 4x5 film and have always gotten great service. They usually have my film back to me within a few days depending on the number of images.

Another alternative is Burne Photoimaging in Madison, WI. They do all of my 120/220 developing for me, but they're only two miles away! ;)

I will second Jack's comment on AGX - I've started using them recently and so far they have done a nice job. Have not tried any of the other labs mentioned here....

I use both AGX and LightHouse Imaging, on the recommendations of Jack and Danny Burk respectively. I have never had a problem with either one and will continue to send to both of them.

Why both? It really depends on whose address I find first, or if I happen to be near South Bend to drop off film to LightHouse.

Thanks for the help. Being a displaced Yooper, I think I'll start with AGX.
