Mirror like reflection, I like the few ripples in the BRC!. Very nice light and contrast, can't wait to see the rest of the images!.

Great capture Mel! It looks like you made good on your plans to explore the Sanges more this summer. That is a lake that I have never seen shot before. But it looks great! I love all the snow around it, the mirror reflection and the pinnacle peak right behind it.
So how tough was the journey there? Was the 4x4 road pretty difficult this early in the season with all the snow still around? Thanks for posting. And like Nick said I look forward to seeing more.

Fantastic shot, Mel! Your strenuous hike paid off. Amazing how much those clouds add. Just imagine this shot without 'em. Still good, but not nearly as dynamic. Can't wait to Seymour.
Beautiful. I overnighted at Macey Lakes years ago, so I know what a haul it is. And didn't come away with anything this nice - well done!

Thanks for the comments.
The ripples in the LRC were from rising native cutthroat trout. I caught and released quite a few. I think in 2 weeks they should be really active for those who fly fish. In the LF slides I expect you'll be able to see lots more.
For Derek and others who are interested, the road to the trailhead is 2WD and there was absolutely no snow there. The snow was all on the last 1/2 mile of the trail. This one is all on foot and its a haul. 7 miles normally and 2500+ vertical feet. My off trail ventures added a mile each way. Also I think it will be another two or three weeks before the last 1/2 mile of the trail is broken. Still lots of snow. If you're going to bushwhack it, bring a good topo. It took me almost 2 hours to get through the last half mile going up and didn't get much better coming down.
Mel...when you mentioned about your trip in the reply for backpacks I was really curious to see the pics!! Awesome Mel!! Reflection and the beautiful clouds really set the mood for a great looking place!! How many days did you spend there??? Great shot again.... Rajeev.

Hopefully the 4X5 will be good cause hauling a 65lb pack 16 miles was alot of work.

The clouds and that ripple are icing on the cake.
Had never heard of this place 'til now. Looking forward to hearing more about your travels there.

Welcome to the joys of backpacking with your LF gear! Those first keepers make it worth it though!
