Did someone mention winter? Here is a small portion of a shot I took back in March - I'm sure a lot of detail was crushed during jpg compression but you can probably get the idea. 100% view of a 10" tall slice (x 100" wide, native file size - view it at 100%)...
No hidden animal that I know of but if there was a lizard or little bird out there somewhere I bet it could be seen. I may have to blend in a shot of elk or something to see what it looks like.
I had originally picked this file to use as one of the new 2009 calendar images, but when I reduced it down for the 2.5" x 2.5" small photo on the back cover of the calendar it really went to nothing so I replaced it. Even the 12" x 12" version for the calendar did not look too good - really needs to be a print at least several feet wide. That is one of the funny things about all of this high-res race we have been in for a number of years - we reached the point a long time ago that you can't really see the detail the big sensors capture until you blow it up really large - but as many of you saw during your visit here, once you do blow them up really big it is amazing how much detail is there...
