Fern Walk, GSMNP
I've spent the last couple days in the GSMNP at my uncle's request to help him with his new camera. He's due to retire within the next year and the photo bug has bit him hard!! So while my aunt and cousins where out doing there thing he and I rode around talking photography  I can think of worse ways to spend a weekend.

Anyway I took some time to shot a few for myself while helping him. Here is one, shot yesterday on the backside of the Cades Cove loop.

Any thoughts?

I can smell the green...Very Nice Thomas! The contrast of the dark trees really sets off the soft green of the ferns.

I'm sure your Uncle had to twist your arm to take him shooting.

Awesome Thomas, I really love this. Great light, great greens and colors.

Great job you had helping someone learn photography. They will truly benefit from your knowledge.

Very Velvia-esque. Lush, inviting, and well composed. Nice work, TB

Well the trail does flow through the frame so I guess it can stand in for a river.
Great photo Thomas. Those bright green ferns just make me want to walk down the path and see what else is there.
