Taken this evening whilst staking out the area for Two Blue Hares that I found yesterday.
Having spoken to Mr Farmer he knew of only one and it had been around for about five years????
Dont know if they are true blue(Mountain Hare) or if they are just some strain of normal. One shows all the features for Mountain Hare.
Seems a bit strange for North Norfolk.
Anybody heard or seen of these?
D2X + 600mm AFS II.
1/160 @ f5.6
ISO 250.
Mode II Adobe rgb.
Tone comp less contrast.
Major.
Don't know enough about Hares to answer the question but it's a great shot whatever.
Like the unusual backdrop too. That animal looks a real jug filler.

Hi Major
I think you will find what the farmer has seen is the rare silver form of Brown Hare which have been seen on a number of estates in Norfolk - if you get a chance to look in 'The Hare' by Jill Mason her husband Dave photographed one not too far from you.
A nice clear view-like the background-maybe a slight turn of the head would improve it but does pop out of the screen

Thanks for that info David K.
Have already got some images but trying for an even better one.
I think I have now found at least three individuals. At a distance they really do look blue so I am dead pleased with the find.
Thanks all for the comments.
