The Dragonfly's have deserted the normal pitch so it was a look at the old Kingfisher perch, when this chap appeared in some really changeable lighting.

Very nice capture Paul have agree that the perch is a little busy and it could do with a bit more sharpening, other than those minor nitpicks a fine shot
A nice pose from the wren, but that perch is a touch overpowering, not sure what is going on here but the whole lower half of the image seems to be taking on a cyan/blueish cast that I am finding distracts from the main subject too much, from this I would go for a square crop keeping the full width, but losing a lot of that perch and then tone down/ remove that cast from the bottom...
HTH, as long as the original wasn't too much of a crop there is potential here...
Good clear view but as Phil mentions a starnge colouration in the bottom half of the image

I'd wondered if some of the funny colour was water in the background, but the perch itself does have a strange hue. Maybe some gremlins crept in during conversion or uploading?! Otherwise the wren pose is fab but would prefer more sharpness around the eye

It's a lovely pose, and it's great to catch it in action mid-sing. The photo does seem to be lacking sharpness though, maybe another round of USM?
Cheers,
Dan.
