RMNP Rocks! (Part I)
Managed to run up to the Park for sunset/sunrise yesterday, special thanks to Eric Stensland for offering advice and suggestions. Here's the sunset pics, from trail ridge and beyond. It was sleeting and cold, but fortunately close to sunset things stabilized and i got a little light. Am especially curious what you think of the atypical first comp. More at ESS!

I like how that mottled sunlight looks. Lots of nice soft spotlights to lead my eye around the image. IMHO the atypical comp in #1 isn't bad. Too bad the rock opening wasn't a little more open though. Its kinda tight feeling at the bottom.

I like that sweet light in #3.

#3 is awesome!

I really like all of these. I'd clone out the sign in #3. I'd also suggest a heavy crop from both sides in #2, in order to focus on Longs. Thanks for sharing.

Your patience paid off, Stan. I like them all. I like where you're going with #1, but I find the darkness of the trees a bit much for my tastes. You're certainly on to something though.

All the images are great, Stan! I like the lighting in #3, however, #2 gets my vote.

I really like the vertical comp in the first image. I also love the light in the other images as well.
