Good picture. Nice DoF and sharp.

It's for sure a circus beetle (-:

A nice shot of a smart little bug. This has a lovely range of extremely complimentary colours in this shot and as a result is very easy on the eye, nice work.

Hi,

I'm sure Greg will be able to ID this one correctly but it is a Weevil possibly but no guarantee of the Phyllobius family, could be Phyllobius pomaceus, Nettle Weevil....

A touch more DoF would have been nice or a focus point closer to the front of the animal...

They are fascinating...

Very nice image but as Phil says a touch more focus to the front.

Hello Ian.

Love the colour range in this and the composition works well. A pleasing picture to look at. :wavey:

What a fascinating image Ian!!

I'm only starting to really appreciate the specific technical difficulties with these close-up/macro subjects, and this looks like a fine result to me :toast:
