Golden Columbia Sunset

Taken last week down on the Columbia with Jesse.....


I bumped up my kelvin temp in camera to give the image a nice warm feeling...

Beautiful, especially the warm reflection of different shades of light on the water.

Very nice Darren. You defnitely achieved a warm feeling here. I love the touch of green in the forground for interest. A little bit of a curved horizon but that's an easy fix if you so choose. Nice work.

The green fern really makes this one different, Darren. It may be a tad bit warm for me but I can live with it.

Very nice scene and I like the comp. I'm personally not a fan of the exaggerated warmth, but if it works for you, that's what matters. If there's any way to recover some detail in the hot area below the sun, it'd be a worthwhile effort. Nice shooting.

To me the sky looks a bit ponderous compared to the bright and quite dreamy look of the river. Like the foreground. Overall a nice shot, Darren.

Pretty nice. I, too, like the warm feeling. I wish I had had clouds like this at Crescent Beach. Might be interesting if you were to selectively brighten the rocks and/or increase saturation of the fern to better balance the sky.

While I don't mind the warmth in the sky, it looks a bit off on the foreground. I'd play with cooling the lower portion of the image. The fern is definitely a great part of the photo.
