White Stork
A couple of weeks ago a friend a i were returning from the Kingfisher hide when i noticed some storks in a field close to the road following the tractors as they cut the crops, We stopped and took some stock snaps and my friend asked a the tractor drivers wife about them and she she pointed at some woodland where they nest so yesterday we went back and found that they were not nesting in the trees but on the chmneys and platforms on an equestrian centre so we spent the day there and got seriously sunburnt for our efforts,There are about 10 or more nests there and we found a place where we could cover 6,I believe that there are only a couple of places where the storks nest in Switzerland so its lucky that i have found some before i leave and can get some on file, The chicks are quite big and a couple are testing their wings so think it wont be long before they are gone, Here an adult returns to the nest where its mate waits with a chick

Good behaviour shot Dave.
Had the returning male made an entrance facing you, or less away from you it would have had a good bit more impact.

John M is right on the angle of the bird compared to the perfect shot, but this is still a nice well balanced and shot image.

Nicely done Dave.........comfortably framed, and good sharpness throughout.

Well executed shot Dave and a super image to have on file :wavey: :wavey:

I'd be back there post-haste looking for that "down the lens barrel" approach shot   :wavey:
