Orchids
Always one of my favorite things to find in the woods.

XT, 50 f1/4 @ f8

Edit - I forgot to mention it, but the little spots on the flowers are pollen from the surrounding pine, fir and spruce. There were clouds of pollen at times in the forest on this hike.

The firs one is a 100% crop out of a frame to show the details of the flower. This one is a full frame with the above combination.

Wow, what a beautiful flower. I would feel pretty lucky to stumble into -- and no onto -- something this nice. Makes me think of all the orchids I saw in Hawaii...
