Well, I finally processed this image that was made in May. I know it's not my usual style, but I was struck by the incongruity of this lovely tree amid concrete and asphalt.
Preston, good to see you posting again. As you stated, a bit different from your usual style overall. I'm always intrigued as to how we as artists pick up on certain compositions. I can see your draw to this scene. The wall provides an excellent backdrop here for this tree. It also looks as the 4x5 picked up the smallest of details throughout, especially the brick in the wall. A very nice post for a non-nature type setting.

I think you did a really great job Preston. Because this is the sort of thing most people are likely to see and walk by everyday. Somehow you made it work.
So this is what happens when one gets married eh? JK!
While certainly not your normal style, this is nicely seen and composed. I particularly like the "T" in the brick wall for some reason. And I don't know about you, but the tip of the white arrow on the pavement adds some tension and curiosity; in fact it might have been an even more interesting concept to get more of the arrow...
Glad to see you posting again! See you in a few weeks!
