Lake Isabelle Report
Jon Labass and I decided to head up to Lake Isabelle in Indian Peaks Wilderness(Colorado) early Saturday Morning. We hit the trail at 4AM and didn't arrive to the lake until 5:20ish. The countless snow drifts made the trek longer than normal. The lake is still about 30% Ice covered(West side) and I must say that there is tons of snow on the trail. Many areas had 5+ft of snow and it will be awhile before it all melts off. A few flowers are starting to come to life but the peak is still weeks away. I havent had a chance to go through all the images but here are a few.

Fog started to appear (briefly) then went away as the morning progressed.

Wow, these are great. The reflections in the first one are delightful. Looking forward to getting up there, but might wait for a little more snow melt on the trail.

Really nice series of images, Michael! #2 is exceptional - I love the wide view, and of course the fog.

Excellent images all, Michael. The fog and rushing water in 2 and 3 are really sweet!

Awesome shots! #1 is insane!!! There might by a slight CW tilt on that one, but anyways what an incredible reflection. The patterns of the snow are great too.

I really like 1 and 2, and the rocks you chose for the foreground. Thanks for the trip report. I'll probably look elsewhere for 4th of July.

Love those first two. The alpenglow and fog give each a different flavor.
