Avi and Andre...

Thanks for the posts. This is the kind of information I've been looking for.
I'll get mine on order today.

Avi, was that mounted on a tripod or handheld?

It actually works with a 1.4x? The lens is f6.3--how hard is it to focus?

It doesn't seem to support the Four Thirds system Olympus uses, although many other Sigma lenses do. Bummer.

I received mine today after months of waiting on the pre-order. I only had a couple of hours to take about twenty shots this evening. All the shots are hand-held in poor-light, with one being shot through two glass doors. Note the shutter speeds! All I'll say from my initial couple hours of use is that I'm so glad I took the risk and pre-ordered. It's certainly no prime, but it's at least as good as my Nikon 70-300VR. The lens handles great, focusing is quick and accurate, and image quality is honestly better than I expected. This is a really nice lens for the price. If anyone wants more details just drop me an email, but all I'm thinking about right now is getting out tomorrow to do some birding with this lens! I'm very anxious to see how it performs in good light, and on a tripod.
