in Smithsonian Museum in Wash.D.C
There is one image of ours hanging in there and I wondered if anyone of NPN members will visit this exhibition and could take a nice digital snapshot of the image and send it to us? (preferably with people admiring the print... ) It would be a HUGE favor for us and we would like to put it on our website (with copyright remark, of course)
well, just a shot into the blue, I guess.

Verena and Georg - I've been meaning to get down there lately, but haven't found the time. I'd be happy to take a couple of snaps if I can get there, but probably won't get there until sometime after the 4th of July holiday weekend here.
And if anyone else is planning on visiting, it's the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
I'll play backup, but far in the future. We've got a shoot scheduled there next April, so if you don't have anything by then I'll be happy to do it. Way off in the future though, like I said.

Unfortunately, Hank, I think it's only scheduled to be there through November. Although, the Smithsonian has been doing several exhibitions in conjunction with Nature's Best the last few years - maybe Verena and/or Georg will have another print on display by then!
And if you want to see the photo and can't make it, here's the link :
David, thanks for sharing that link. It's a wonderful image. I can picture (ugh!) in my mind's eye a bevy of onlookers appreciating the image hanging in the museum. I'd love to see it writ large upon canvas.
Hey David, that really sounds great. It really is not urgent! Just the fact I would have a chance to get a snap (or even a few...) from it would be enough.
Hank, yes, the exhibition will last until November only. Thanks for trying, maybe you'll get there anyhow.
if you want to check out ALL the images:

All the Best, we 4 are leaving for Seattle tomorrow and will be found around the Olympic Peninsula and NP for the next 4 weeks.
I thought you were referring to the new ocean hall opening this fall rather than a current exhibit. We're booked to shoot a three day event in the new facility next April.
Hi Verena and Georg, obviously I cannot do you this favour, but on a totally different note: Your daughters have the best parents in the world: Not only are they excellent photographers, but they provide them most likely with the greatest summer-vaccations ever
