Red Squirrel
This popped up rather unexpectantly when I was photographing birds so was very much a case of point and shoot as I only had a few seconds to capture it
Techs
D300
300 F4 + 1.4
ISO 640
1/160s
F8
-0.3EV
Full frame
Bean bag from car
Small twig cloned from trunk

C & C welcomed as I'm unsure whether depth of field is sufficient and if a crop would help?

I like it as is, but feel that the shot would have been better as a vertical format image with some space below the Squirrel.

Great subject Stephen nicely done. Just a slight shame that the right hand ear tuft is directly over the body and for that reason is not so pronounced. :toast:

Well captured under the circumstances Stephen :wavey:

You've had a slightly downward-looking PoV which never helps, and I agree with comments made by Major and Nigel - but for a grab shot you've done well :wavey:

Stephen,

Very well done under the circumstances, but I think a vertical crop would have been better.
