Fine looking shot Major of a bird I haven't seen in many a year :toast:

Yep - I got a total soaking too, as did the D2Xs and the 180

A fine image Major, no rain here just muddy grumpy dogs!

Very good shot of a rare bird which I've only seen once and that was in Mull

We have a pair nesting nearby which the RSPB are protecting so planning to go just to see them

Not so rare in North Norfolk but I always a pain to get a decent size image.

I used to see these everytime i went to the hide here and even had them landing in the water to grab dead fish but they seem to have dissapeared for the last few weeks-nice flight shot

Great shot Major!
Wonder if a bit of Shadow/Highlight might give you some more detail underneath it's wings.

Nicely done Major, we also get them quite regularly nesting at a nearby reserve but never can get close enough for an image such as this. Although I did have one fly level with e car once and that was awesome. Never had the camera then...!

Thanks for sharing.
