I tend to watch and track prices of various gear on eBay, and every now and then I come across something like this that makes no sense. Unless I'm missing something very obvious, this seems downright silly.
Lens 1 was availble before, during and after lens 2 sold. The lens board is pretty nice, but not $340 nice. Lens 2 has some more flexible payment and shipping terms, but can that explain it? Seems odd.
As a seller, better to be the second guy than the first. If you're the buyer, not so much.

Rick, I looked at both ads and it's a mystery to me, too. I've seen some pretty insane bidding on eBay, and guess this is just one more example?

Rick, if you analyze the bidding history on the $938 lens it looks like the snipers tripped over each other. If not for that, the lens might have gone for a little less than $599.

Rick,
I think another item pushing the second lens is the complete kit including the cam for master tecnika. Those linhoff users seem to go a bit nuts!
Makes me feel a whole lot better about my Fujinon 210-NW with EBC coating picked up for a modest $250.
