Mt Evans Today
On the spur of the moment we decided to head up Mt Evans today and we found some goats as well as lots of tundra flowers. It's my first visit so I was pleased to see the goats. Some pics here and more on pbase.com

Of course we got hailed on for our trouble.

Cute shot, Bill - thanks for the update. Is the ice totally gone from Summit Lake? Did you see any alpine sunflowers? (I'm planning to head up there tomorrow a.m.)

Cool images, Bill! What a difference a week makes. Here is a condition type photo from the weekend before from the top looking down on Summit Lake.

There were no big flowers when I was there, but there were tons of things getting ready to bloom.

Summit Lake is almost free of ice, the alpine sunflowers are out, the goats have kids but otherwise look a bit scraggy. Lost of other flowers are out in full with lots more to come.

Nice shots. I really like the turkey vulture image myself.

Great stuff Bill. The difference a week is making is awesome. Its just strange how late these lakes are still ice locked this year. And the kids are really cute.
