Tri State Camera.

Anyone ever order from these guys....

I am looking to order a lens at about 100 cheaper then if I were to go downtown and buy local......I need it by Friday night and they offer overnight priority for 47 bucks....

your thoughts on this!

Looking at a few of the comments on Reseller Ratings, that actually appears to be one of the better bait-and-switch places. But as soon as people in reviews mention having to call the place to "confirm" an order, I would stay away. This practice occurs for no reason other than to try to get you to buy something else, or to substitute other items for what you wanted to buy. I've bought things online from quite a few places, all very reputable, and have never had phone contact with any of them - I just got everything through email, and got my item in a reasonable time (or received an email explaining why it wasn't in time, and what I could do about it).

I bought a Sigma 50-500 from them and was satisfied with the service - the only upsale was an 86mm uv at a good price. The lens came well packed but the af was defective. - I sent it back and the next one was perfect. No hassle on the replacement. Gues it could happen to ant retailer. I'd buy from them again.
