Yesterday I hiked up to Solitude Lake in the Glacier Gorge area of RMNP. I had planned to shoot Shelf Lake with the water cascading down from above, but the entire western slope was covered in deep snow. This was the only section that was snow free. Here's a different perspective taken about 5 minutes earlier. I had a fun sunrise up there and then headed back via Thatchtop, only to spend a very long time looking over cliff edges trying to find a safe way back down. I also posted one of Solitude Lake in ESS. Hope you are all getting out and enjoying the summer!

I like this one quite a bit, but I prefer the one on ESS. The comp in that one is much better IMO. Thanks for sharing these.

My personal preference is the one on ESS too; they are all pretty good though, I do like the 3 distinctive layers in this one!.

These are all spectacular, but the one posted here is by far the best. Great stuff, Erik!

I'm with Todd too. This one is great. Awesome alpine glow, waterfall along with a good amount of snow for contrast.

Glad you made it back safely too.
