Yesterdays Dawn
This wasn't taken yesterday, but the old aging windmill reminds me of days gone by.

Yesterdays Dawn sounds like it should be the title of a Beatles song or a movie. I like the individual elements of the frame quite a lot. The three rolling hills alternating light and shadow in the right middle of the frame are great. The sun bursting over the hill on the left is captivating. The FG grass with its dramatic backlight is quite lovely, too.

However, I think the composition might divide things up a bit too much. The 50/50 top/bottom comp and the windmill anchored almost dead center seem to cut the picture into four pieces.

I must say, though, there are so many good things going on in the image that it is certainly eye-catching just like it is. And it has beautiful color. :toast:

I tend to agree with Dominic's critique - I really like the individual elements, but there seems to be something about the composition that splits things up. Still a very nice job - beautiful light!

Very nice - but I do agree with Dominic and Bill.

Hey Brad. My first reaction to this was "very nice!". I agree with the other comments, but sometimes you find yourself in a location where there is no perfect composition. This is a beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Brad, first impression was how much I like the low perspective of your shot. Some very nice individual elements and a classic prairie setting. This is a comp that could have benefited from a slightly wider lens. Very nice as is.
